$63 Million In "Questionable" Obama Campaign Donations?

Ken Timmerman from Newsmax has been looking into recent donations to the Obama campaign and came up with some interesting tidbits. Could $63 million of Barack Obama's campaign donations have come from Foreign Sources?

John McCain has made his complete list of donors, even those giving under $200, available on line for all to see. The question is......why does Barack Obama's campaign continue to hide these contributors?

During the Newsmax investigation, there continue to be numerous donors who have given well over the allowed amount by the FEC. Some of the donors did have money returned to them, but there are more questions about these donors than answers.
But many of the donors Newsmax canvassed said they had “never” been contacted by the Obama campaign or seen any refunds, even though their contributions went over the limit months ago. In all, Newsmax found more than 2,000 donors who had contributed in excess of the $4,600 limit for individuals per election cycle.

Such donations, if not returned within 60 days, are a clear violation of federal campaign finance laws. Lisa Handley, a stay-at-home mom from Portland, Ore., recalled giving $4,600 to the Obama campaign by credit card, contributions she made because “I love Obama,” she said. According to FEC records, however, she gave an additional $2,300 to the campaign, putting her over the limit.

The Obama campaign reported that it had “redesignated” the excess money, which could mean that it had contributed it to a separate party committee or a joint fundraising committee, which have higher limits. But if that happened, it’s news to Handley. “No one ever contacted me to return any of the money or told me they were redesignating some of the money,” she said.

The Obama campaign continues to hide it's donor list. Of their 2.5 million donors the campaign claims to have, they have kept 2 million of them secret. What's with all of their secrets? How many people have now come forward claiming that their credit cards have been charged $2300 without their permission by the Obama campaign?

How many people have had contributions made using their names in order to bypass the FEC? Do they truly have 2.5 million donors or are some of these aliases? Is this a huge fraud being perpetrated on our country....in addition to ACORN? According to the Newsmax article:

But there’s one problem with the Obama data: Sharpe doesn’t remember giving that much money to the Obama campaign in the first place, nor does he recall anyone from the campaign ever contacting him to return money. “At the end, I was making monthly payments,” he told Newsmax. The Obama campaign records do not show any such payments.

You can't help to ask questions about the dollar amounts. $150 million in one month in the middle of what this country has gone through in the last month is very interesting. Do you think there is any point in which we will find out about where these donations have been coming from?

Let's just go ahead and beat the Republican Joes by jesting a bit and imply that this is all true! The contributions are from Communist countries eager on conquering the USA from within. Obama is really an Arab Muslim Nazi terrorist bent on global domination through the use of his ACORN zombie followers....

Okay, as a bonus, the votes against the Republicans have nothing to do with the failed leadership of the Bush Administration.....

There, are you folks happy? Are we done with this nonsense yet?

Not to whine, but when are the Republicans going to talk about the issues that face the American people?

But since we are here, let's try a bit of political humor:

Obama somehow managed to cheat all regulatory processes (oh the irony in that statement) and raise 150 million dollars in one month?!

Bah, I say let the man loose. We won't need that tax increase after all, Obama is going to retire the federal debt through campaign contributions! Of course 150 million is but a tiny little scratch, but at least it's in the right direction.

Do you think four years will be enough, or do we need him in there for eight? ;-)

A coup, by any other words is still a coup - often when describing a banana republic the term "prone to coups" was part and parcel of the affair, but tanks, batallions, curfews, superficial and uneducated populations were the attendant images. Today, what we assist at, is the US is going banana republic, so far by wholesale buying the votes of a superficial population - but we already we have curfew and general news distortion, and soon we'll have censorship and more.
Biden, involuntary Cassandra, today predicted that soon we'll be in a major conflict because outside forces will want to test Obama's mettle - in other words, we'll pay in lives and tragedy the liberals' need for showing to themselves and the world how enligthened they are by chosing a foreigner as emperor.
Do we need more examples for illustrating America's decadence?

Let's count the ways:
(1) Tapes and letters are surfacing that Obama's campaign cheated in the democratic primaries,
(2)Acorn - on the same far left fringe that Obbama comes from in Chicago and supported by the Obama campaign is sufacing in voter fraud in many states,
(3) Now we have questionable donations.
Looks like we're on the glide path for the most corrupt administration in history. How can this be - this is where Obama's background counts: every one of the three self identifed mentors is marxist and or black racist; nearly every person he hung with fro 20 years is marxist. He worked for Alinsky founded organizations; honed his skills on Alinsky rules, ran for Illinois senate as New Party (socialist). Is is any surprize that his campaign is following Alinsky practices (see also Boston Globe the letter from Alinsky's son of how proud his father would have been of how well his ruels were being followed). Look carefully - when does Mr. Obama priase freedom of speech and press? Yet, he more often cites freedom from need or fear.

All these data points are unimportant separately, but put together it becomes clear that the marxists have stolen the democratic party and nobody knows it.

Yes...Liberal. Because I said anything about Arab's and Communists. It is still fraud if any foreigner gives to a campaign.

If you look through my blog, you will see that I question my side and Bush. What scares me is that you and others seem to question nothing about The One.

Be careful what you wish for....you might not like what you actually get.

You guys just can't stand the fact that Obama succeeded to raise 150 million dollars last month from 2.5 million of Joe the Plumber!

I'm still wondering when they are going to uncover Obama's real birth certificate; after that, uncovering the origin and authenticity of his campaign donations should be a piece of cake.

Why is there so much debate from Team McCain on topics that the voters do not care about?

Maybe Obama has got money from good and bad sources. The truth is that we do not care!

The voters want to hear why McCain is better or Obama is worse, without doing this Obama will win.

We want to hear how the jobs will come back to America and how the house prices will stablize!

Please will someone awake up at Team McCain and start talking about things that concern us enough to make a change in the vote.

Browsing through right wing blogs these days, it seems, one of the most difficult things to accept for them, is the fact that for thze first time in decades they are outspent in the elections. They have gotten so used to the fact that the GOP has the money that they automatically assume that there must be fraud if this ceases to be the case. Maybe this alone is a sign that indeed this could be a time of transformation for the U.S.A., late but maybe not too late.

It is also surprising how loud these voices are now when there still is a Republican government with well-documented ties to oil and other special interests (I intentionally do not invoke the word 'corruption' here).

Ok, I'm ready to come clean. My campaign is funded by drug money from the Cali Cartel. In nearly 2 years of campaigning me and my boys were able to hide this fact from the most sophisticated political organizations ever assembled, Clinton and GOP. Those organizations had a common goal - Defeat Obama.
They could not defeat me on the issues so they turned to that old reliable strategy, character assassination. Been around about as long as elections themselves.
But we almost made it. Now, a mere 2 weeks before the election my clandestine operation has been uncovered by internet bloggers.
Guess someone else will have to "Get Whitey." I applaud your efforts.

Sigh, - - - Oh for the good ole days when all the obamacons were still in holding pens awaiting the instructions of “The One”. That was when I could peruse your column and comments without interruptions and at leisure. Now - - - I have to read from the bottom up so I do not get mired up in one of those Obamanation coments with their standardized obamafacts that have been so unlightening. If they are just surfing the net like little obamatrolls hoping to disrupt their elders, then they have succeeded beyond their intent as two of the three sites I visit each day has been under attack from these obamasoldiers. From what I can surmise, the blog administrators are getting fed up with dodging barbs from these obamatrons and are not going to participate in these combative exercises anymore. Just the fact that they are out in full force tells you “The Obama” is getting a bit nervous that his poll numbers are significantly under par (that’s “over” par for you golfers out there).

Stacy:

Just came back from the early voting polls in Florida. Don’t believe all that malarkey that Obama is winning down here. If you are lucky enough to get out to the neighborhoods during the day you will see McCain signs 3-1. There would be more but the obamabots steal the McCain signs under dark of night (typical of thieves). Because they are not racists, the ethnic neighborhoods are predominantly Obama. The Obama poll sitters are somewhat on the rowdy side with a large youth turnout to intimidate voters on their way into the polls. So far, there have been no physical attacks on McCain supporters. I will be poll sitting for the McCain camp on Friday so I will be in a better position to judge the conduct of both parties.

I have the opportunity to poll watch or poll sit on Election Day but have not yet made a decision where I want to be.

From what a McCain phone volunteer has told me, she has had only one hang-up during her calls; the rest have shown interest in the McCain agenda as they have been given a lot of misinformation from the Obama camp. They are reluctant to give their preference over the phone as they are not entirely sure who they are talking to and fear repercussions.

I’m not entirely sure how they arrive at poll statistics as I received a call yesterday asking me how I would rate the current administration of Florida. I think they are basing poll numbers for the Presidential election on my answers to State issues. Now that would be a very huge mistake as I do not believe the two are compatible or interchangeable.

After my foray into the political arena today I feel much more confident of a McCain victory in Florida. Almost everyone that I have talked to have indicated their preference for McCain.

"McCain Giving Up on Colorado
CNN reports that top officials of Sen. John McCain's campaign are "making tough decisions" as they now see Colorado, New Mexico and Iowa no longer winnable.

Instead, the campaign's "risky strategy" is counting on Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and a comeback in Pennsylvania.

The McCain campaign responds: "We see the race tightening both internally and in public polling. We are within striking distance in the key battleground states we need to win."

That's just so hopelessly desperate to give up on 3 states George Bush carried in 2004, with 2 weeks to go in the election.

It is just barely possible for McCain to eke out an electoral college win, if he holds North Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Ohio and Nevada, and flips Pennsylvania. That concedes Colorado, New Mexico and Iowa to Obama with 34 EV. 252 EV (Kerry) - 21 (Pennsylvania) = 231 + 34 = 265 EV. So McCain would barely win by 273 EV - 264 EV.

Ken Adelman is a lifelong conservative Republican. Campaigned for Goldwater, was hired by Rumsfeld at the Office of Economic Opportunity under Nixon, was assistant to Defense Secretary Rumsfeld under Ford, served as Reagan’s director of arms control, and joined the Defense Policy Board for Rumsfeld’s second go-round at the Pentagon, in 2001. Adelman’s friendship with Rumsfeld, Cheney, and their wives goes back to the sixties, and he introduced Cheney to Paul Wolfowitz at a Washington brunch the day Reagan was sworn in.

Stacy,
The problem with these charges is that there have been soooo many of them. After you spend a few hours researching a few of them, only to discover they are utter nonsense (birth certificate listed above as a perfect example), you become immune to these "issues". Feel free to read your blog comments to get a sense of the nonsense we have to dig through (Nazi, Arab, terrorist, illegal alien, etc.).

The Republican leadership, and the campaign team (most particularly) lost any credibility with me, and a lot of other people, a long long time ago. We aren't ignoring information, but we are ignoring the Republican campaign team....

Here is the thing Stacy, try to be objective, do you really blame us?

Honestly, I do love your posts (some more than others), and I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on the stimulus package ideas that are floating around congress.

Warmest Regards.

Stacy said...

You an honest question. I'll give you an honest answer. While A stimulus package might help out in the short term, it could end up hurting us in the long-term...(ie debt, value of the dollar, etc.)

As for the package the Dems are proposing, no way. It is full of pork. If they haven't learned at this point, do you think they ever will? That's my opinion.

Stacy said...

that would be "ask a question" I'm tired today.

Stacy said...

One last thing....I don't know that I believe the whole birth certificate thing. However, it does beg the question, why fight the law suits (there are now 4)? Why not just provide it to the court and be done with it? Like I said, I don't know that I believe it, but it does make you go huh?!?

Anonymous said...

Outlier - Observation that is numerically distant from the other data.

Statistical term. Not subjective.

Stacy,
Fair question on the birth certificate "issue", but with all due respect, frivilous lawsuits are still frivilous in quantity. There are a number of sites that are party neutral that state that these claims are false.

As to why Barack Obama wouldn't waste time fighting these lawsuits, he has a campaign to run. Bottom line, if you have already provided the necessary documentation to those who are required to see it, why expend energy pandering to the "fringe" crowd who would still - irregardless of facts - believe it to be false?

Thank you for your thoughts on the stimulus plans. Personally, I think something needs to be done, but so far the plan presented (while I agree its in the right direction) is arguably a pork piece rather than anything helpful.

Yes. I deleted them, but not for the reason you may think. I had already been to the site tonight and read them. I didn't necessarily need them repeated here.

Again, we can compare loons. I have seen and read far worse about Palin. Slate.com has Palin porn posted on their site. Is that offensive enough.

Stacy: I'm going to miss your blog; you have been a lifeline for me, but I’m afraid I'll have to bug out soon as most of your discourse seems to be with RJ and The American Liberal. Since I no longer read anything submitted by either of them or the anonymous' that continue to plague your site with nasty retort, it's like picking my way through a mine field. You are constantly on the defensive and quite honestly it is getting a bit redundant. Perhaps I’m way off base and you are enjoying this repartee, but I find it counterproductive under the present circumstances and think you are being side tracked by these children (I’m guessing they are college students) playing head-games with you. Maybe I am alone in this thinking, but I notice less and less commentary from your past posters and more and more from the Obama-search-and-destroy team. I believe they see you as a threat and their goal is to distract you - - - and it just might be working.

I agree with your other readers, stay away from the back and forth with the liberals. You are a talented writer and have written items that have drawn many to visit day after day. If you have not noticed an increase in your viewership, I would be surprised.

The liberals who visit the site daily to dispute everything every conservative writes, do so, not with the intentions to educate, but to blast you and your opinions. Don't defend yourself.

For an independent like me, it helps me see the difference between conservatives and liberals.

You have made it very clear your site is conservative. While I disagree with what you may state, I learn from it to help make my decision. All I see from American Liberal is defensive character attacks, which forces you to sink to that level. No need.

You are smarter than that - therefore, stick to the Smart Girl focus and continue to educate the rest of us politically uneducated Americans.

Sigh.

I should count how many people on this blog are offended that a "liberal" dare post here.

You are the same people who whine about the unfair reporting of the MSM?! If you are going to exclude ideas, how are you any better than they?

Stacy, at least, is trying to be tolerant. She may not enjoy our comments, but she will not stoop to the level of MSM by squashing voices on either side.

But you know what, there is something I haven't done, so let me do it.

Stacy, thank you for being one of the very few right wing bloggers who agrees to talk to us. In a world that talks about building bridges, you are busy actually doing it.

Obama succeeded to raise 150 million dollars last month from 2.5million people! It's highly unlikely that all 2.5 donated but for the sake of argument, crunch the numbers. What donation amount would that be from each person if all 2.5 million donated? How is it that he can get away with this campaign finance scam? And remember that he broke his very first promise to reform campaign finance. It seems he's laughing all the way to the bank.

The handwriting is clear as a bell, yet is being ignored by the media that is supposed to be one of our country's safeguards under the First Amendment to the Constitution. For several years now the far left has been slowly taking over the Democratic Party. Big money from radical left wing sources such as George Soros and others has been pumped into both propaganda and election campaigns in order to get the more left wing people elected. If it were fully investigated, there is little doubt that some of this money has been illegally filtered and laundered. Hundreds of millions of dollars are being used at present in support of democratic congressional candidates in the current election. The massive amounts of money behind Kay Hagan in North Carolina in attempting to unseat Elizabeth Dole, and similar money behind attempts to unseat Senator John Sunnunu in New Hampshire are just two of the recent examples. The huge amount of money behind Barack Obama for president is even a bigger example. They make it appear that the money is coming from many individual donors, but all of it is not. There have been recent revelations that the Obama Campaign has hidden contributions from foreign sources as well as illegal domestic contributions. We should never lose site of what George Soros represents...he wants to undo the sovereignty of the United Sates and favors a one world government among other very far left and radical objectives. We are at the turning point in the history of our nation.

The bias of the main stream media to the left and toward Democratic candidates has been clear and even getting stronger and more blatantly overt in recent years. This represents about 80 to 90% of all the information that the American public receives. They make communist cold war propaganda seem like child's play. Over recent years there has been a seeding process taking place. The far left has already been seeded in congress and other political positions throughout the country, the judicial, education, labor unions, all avenues of the media, and many other influential organizations. Democratic Congressman Henry Waxman of California recently blamed "free markets" for our nations current financial crisis to show the type of thinking that now exists. . The election of Barack Obama would represent the coup de grâce in order to finalize this takeover. There are just too many facts about Obama's history and associations with radical people and organizations that are clear indicators on what to expect if he becomes president.

Just think about an Obama presidency with an overwhelming Democratic congress and the full support of the media in order to support and propagandize their efforts, combined with the seeding that has already taken place. It would not only be a one party nation, but represent a far left socialist takeover of our country from which we may never recover. The would be able to act at will in a dictatorial fashion with no checks and balances in place. People like George Soros would have a major influence on the direction of our country.

There are just a few short days left before election time. The plea to you is to look at the facts, investigate and expose this before it is too late. You are our only remaining hope to save our country.

How disappointing. I stumbled across your blog while looking into some of what you're talking about re: campaign donations and I was excited to see the name of the site. "How refreshing," I thought. "This campaign could use more smart people thinking about it on both sides." As I scrolled down to post what I saw as problems with the original newsmax piece that you might have some interesting observations on, I saw little but post after post deriding people who politely disagreed as "attacking" and worse.

It became clear that, appearances to the contrary, you (and your commentators) want nothing more than an echo chamber. That's your right, of course, but it isn't very ... well, smart.
