Crowd Shouts, "SARAH, SARAH".....Did I Mention I Got To Meet Her Too!

Today I attended a rally for John McCain and Sarah Palin in Washington, PA.  If this crowd and the size of it are any indication of the energy she has brought to this campaign, then it will be a win in November for them.

I was standing in front of the stage on a local minor league field.  It was a sold out crowd.  Local campaign managers said that they had run out of tickets after Palin was announced yesterday.  People didn't care if they had a ticket or not.....they just showed up.  The local officials estimated that the crowd was well over 10,000.

As Sarah Palin took to the stage, the crowd began to shout "Sarah, Sarah". They chanted her name even through Tom Ridge introducing them.  At the end of the rally, I was lucky enough to get to shake hands and meet someone who I have been talking about for the last few months, yes, Sarah Palin herself. I thought I would share some pictures of the event:

Meeting Sarah Palin

Her husband, Todd, and her little girl were with her also.  Thanks for sharing in my moment.  I will be back to blogging tomorrow.

Don't Be Too Quick To Dismiss Palin......She is More Than A Woman!

For those of you who haven't been part of the Palin for VP movement for the last several months, welcome to the game.

Like most people today, I had never heard of Sarah Palin until about six months ago. I stumbled onto the now hit website, After reading Adam Brinkley's blog, I did some more research of my own. She is impressive. She got me excited about politics and was the reason I started my own blog.

A few days ago, I posted a blog, "Why Is Obama So Afraid of Women?". From the reaction today, my blog post was dead on. The first reaction of not only the Obama campaign, but every single Democrat that could get media attention, was atrocious. Obama's spokesman, Bill Burton, had the following to say before she even made an appearance on the stage, "Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the Presidency."

Really sir, you want to talk about experience? Sarah Palin has taken on tougher challengers than Barack Obama and Joe Biden combined. Look on for her debates during her Gubernatorial campaign. She is tough as nails and put those boys in their place more than a few times. She took on corruption in Alaska in her own party and believe me they have come after her for it. While Senator Obama has been out on the campaign trail for the last 18 months talking the talk, she has been in Alaska walking the walk.

Sarah Palin has passed more important bills in the last month than Senator Obama has in his entire life. She went to Iraq to visit our troops before Senator Obama did and she didn't take a media crew with her. She doesn't take positions or make a stand based on anything other than her ideals and morals.

Before you write her off as an inexperienced woman as the Obama campaign would want you to believe, do a little research, watch the debate with Joe Biden, and most of all, keep an open mind. You will be impressed. I didn't stay up most of the night last night following flights from Alaska over at Adam's website for nothing.

Senator Obama: Sarah Palin is more than a woman..................and by the have every reason to be afraid!!!!!!!!

I will have pictures and a blog posted tomorrow night from the campaign rally in Washington, PA . Be sure to check back.

Obama Campaign: They're Not Playing Fair!

The Obama campaign is crying foul over John McCain' s latest ad titled "Tiny". The campaign states that the McCain campaign is taking Obama's words out of context.

I think I have heard that story before. That's right. The Obama campaign took John McCain's words out of context regarding staying in Iraq for 100 years. I don't think they seemed quite concerned when they used that trick. Just in case you haven't seen "Tiny". Here it is:

Tonight, Barack Obama tried to squash any criticism about his Greek Tragedy tomorrow night. Any bets on how long it will take the McCain campaign to put out a new ad mocking The One's speech from Greece?

Hillary Tows The Line.............Barely!

I watched the video of Hillary Clinton tonight and as a woman I must say it was extremely impressive. Although I disagree with her politics, it made me proud as a woman to see her journey. Her speech was very well written, very well delivered, and very well received, but it lacked something.

I listened carefully. To be honest, the only endorsement I heard from Hillary was vote for Barack Obama because he is a Democrat. She technically did the job that she was sent to do, but she didn't address the concerns that she herself brought up about Obama.

She didn't once address his experience. She didn't address what he will do for our country. She said nothing that would relieve her supporters fears about Barack Obama's past, his radical associations, or why he is ready to lead our country.

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't blame Hillary. She didn't want to lie. She didn't want to be seen as the reason why Obama will lose. If he doesn't get a bounce in the polls after the convention, I can tell you now, his minions will blame her and her supporters for it.

Another thing that I noticed, and I am sure that a lot of other women out there noticed, was the look on Michelle Obama's face throughout the entire speech. The only two times that she smiled were when her own name was mentioned and when the speech was over. Out of curiosity, I looked at a few of the PUMA sights and it was not an observation that I was making alone.

I believe that Senator Clinton said it best during the primary:

"I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech that he gave in 2002."

Congratulations Senator Clinton on your historic run for the Presidency. You have cracked the glass ceiling and if we're lucky John McCain's VP will finish the job for you.

LMAO...Obama's Bump Down

Just a short post that I couldn't resist.  Going into the convention with the media behind him and a new VP to boot, Barack Obama got an unexpected bump today.  A bump down that is.  In today's Gallup poll, taken after Obama's VP announcement, he actually lost 2 points this week.

John McCain is leading in the poll 46-44.  I'm sorry, but I just couldn't resist myself.  I guess those PUMA's are finally having their voices heard.

I wonder what kind of bounce there will be at the end of the convention when the roll call vote becomes a giant fiasco.

Check back in.....I'll keep you updated.

Why is Barack Obama So Afraid of Women?

Apparently the Obama campaign does not want a woman on either the Democratic or Republican Presidential tickets. Why is he so afraid of women in top political positions? If you think that Hillary Clinton is the only woman that the Obama campaign has gone after this year, think again.

A few months ago, Senator McCain was thought to be considering a woman for the VP position on his ticket. Not just any woman, but Alaskan Governor, Sarah Palin. For those who haven't heard of Sarah Palin, you could say that she is the "maverick" of the Alaskan political game. She is a true reformer who took on corruption in her own party. She was making the media rounds and her name was getting alot of play in political circles.

The Obama campaign apparently did not want to be forced to put Hillary Clinton on the ticket so his minions set out to attack Sarah Palin. How? Obama's operatives in Alaska led by State Senator Hollis French have brought a frivolous investigation against Sarah Palin in order to derail her chances of becoming VP. Unfortunately for them, it appears to be blowing up in their face and Governor Palin may very well still be in the running for the Republican ticket.

You can find all of the information about Governor Palin at Palin for VP.

Why is Barack Obama so afraid to run with or against women? One last thought....have you ever noticed how many of John McCain's spokespeople on the media rounds are women? Have you noticed how many top business women have lined up to support John McCain? How many prominent women can you name in the Obama campaign?

Barack Obama, when will you learn that you will never win this election without the support of ..........duh, women!!!!!

Biden Raised in Scranton, Obama Raised in Jakarta.

The media blitz for Joe Biden is trying to paint him as an "Average Joe" who was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The fact of the matter is that Joe Biden only lived in Pennsylvania until he was ten years old.

If I were the Obama campaign I would be very careful with this selling point. By stating that Joe Biden was raised in Pennsylvania and insinuating that up to the age of ten is considered raised, it could draw comparisons to where Barack Obama was raised.

If Joe Biden at ten was raised in Pennsylvania, that would mean that Barack Obama at ten was raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. You can sell the "Average Joe" biography all you want, but the fact of the matter is that this election is not a vote on Joe Biden. It is a vote on Barack Obama.

The average "blue-collar" worker in PA, OH, IN, WV, and apparently now Michigan aren't falling for it. The only thing adding Joe Biden to the ticket did for Obama was point out his weaknesses.

So good luck trying to sell it.......we are much smarter than that and we aren't buying it.

The Clintons Are Voting For........?

On November 4, 2008, millions of voters will go to their local voting precinct and pull the lever for the candidate of their choice. Regardless of what you may or may not say in public, when you are in the privacy of that voting booth, you are the only one who really knows who you voted for.

With that said, who do you think that Bill and Hillary Clinton will pull the lever for? I know what they both say publicly. They have to say what they do publicly or it would undoubtedly be the end of their political careers. But in the privacy of their individual voting booths, which lever do they pull?

Just pretend you are Hillary Clinton for a minute. Your husband has been called a racist and you have been disrespected over and over again. Just look at what has happened since she gave up her race for President.

Barack Obama's camp has refused to help her pay off her debt. They will not release their fundraising list to her campaign. They stated publicly that she would be on any one's short list, but yet they did not vet her. Barack Obama did not call her personally to tell her of his decision for VP. And with one last slap in the face, he announces his pick at 3 am. I'm not sure his campaign could have gone further out of it's way to alienate her supporters.

Even Republicans have more respect for Hillary than Barack Obama and the Democratic Leadership have had for her. Republicans are grateful today that he did not pick Hillary because we know she would have been a formidable candidate. Now you know that for Republicans, of all people, to have sympathy for Hillary Clinton that she must have been robbed.

My point is, that after all of this bad blood and disrespect, how could you blame either Bill or Hillary Clinton if they pulled the lever for someone other than Barack Obama? the privacy of the voting booth, you never know who one will vote for..................or who their disrespected supporters will vote for?

Upcoming....did you know that Hillary Clinton is not the only female politician that the Obama campaign has gone after? Stay tuned for more details........

How Many Radical Associations Do You Have?

I am so tired of being told that Barack Obama's association with left-wing radicals has nothing to do with this campaign. The character and judgement of the President of The United States absolutely is important to this campaign.

One of the first lessons that you are taught as a child is be careful who you hang out with and don't hang out with the wrong crowd. We are taught not to let the influence of our friends affect us. Don't give in to peer pressure. Why are we taught these things if it truly does not matter in life?

Let's take a look at the list of Barack Obama's friends:

1. Tony Rezko-Felon
2. William Ayers-Terrorist
3. Bernadine Dohrn-Terrorist
4. Reverend Wright-Radical
5. Reverend Pfleger-Radical
6. Rashid Khalidi-Supports attacks on Israel

I won't go into details on each of these characters. All you have to do is Google their names and you will find more than enough information on them. I don't even believe this is a complete list of his questionable relationships. "Guilt By Association" does and should matter.

How many average Americans can name one radical friend that they have been associated with? How many would be able to name six? I'm sure that people in Pittsburgh, Dayton, Grand Rapids, and Terre Haute have all kinds of radical people in their lives.

These are people who were friends or mentors of Barack Obama for years, some for over twenty years. Do you really think that they had no influence in his life at all?

Barack Obama-you can't pick your family, but you sure have chosen some interesting friends!!!!!

Obama: Don't Blame Me!

Blame America, but whatever you do, do not blame the candidate. With the drop in the polls, it seems that the name calling from the left is getting louder. According to left-wing websites, newspapers, and even Barack Obama himself, we are either racist, stupid, or uniformed voters.

In the primaries, Obama called people in Pennsylvania bitter and said they "cling to guns and religion." Obama chose not to campaign in West Virginia and Kentucky. The insinuations made were that those people were racist for overwhelmingly voting for Hillary Clinton even after Obama's apparent nomination.

In the past several months, Obama has wrongly claimed that Republicans are scaring people. He said, "You know, he's not patriotic enough. He's got a funny name. You know, he doesn't look like all those other Presidents on those dollar bills, you know. He's risky. That's essentially the argument they're making."

It appears that Obama supporters on the left-wing websites are blaming stupid Americans who are uninformed as reasons for continuing Bush's third term. It's hard to believe that there is little to no blame for their flawed candidate.

Most recently, Barack Obama stated that, "The fact of the matter is, at a certain point, when government has not been serving the people for this long, people get cynical. They tune out.” So apparently, America you are not listening to him.

Quite the contrary Senator Obama, America is listening. We just don't like what we are hearing.

John McCain Should Thank Barack Obama

John McCain should take a moment to thank Barack Obama. For what you may ask? Barack Obama did the one thing that John McCain has been unable to do in the last few months.

Many of us, including myself, have been uninspired by the candidate, John McCain. Although we respected the man, the candidate has left something to be desired. But after my own blog yesterday and reading so many other blogs and even the MSM today, it is clear that there is a new found excitement about our candidate.

In the last few months, so many of us were voting against Barack Obama more than we were going to vote for John McCain. However, that changes as of today. With Barack Obama's performance on Saturday, it is not only apparent that John McCain can win, but that he will win.

It is obvious that Obama's stance on abortion should make every christian cringe. However, that is not the only thing that will energize the base. The way that Barack Obama dodged and weaved anwering many questions left something to be desired.

His stance on Supreme Court justices was comical. He almost called Clarence Thomas not experienced enough. He would have given the Republicans the best sound-byte ever. Had he actually used the word experience, he would have guaranteed his defeat. The comparisons of experience level between Obama and Thomas would have made for great foder.

The fact that Obama's surrogates were immediately out accusing both McCain and Rick Warren of cheating should prove that his camp is worried about his lack-luster performance. For them to be such bad sports about the whole thing, just motivates us even more.

You have to give credit where credit is due. John McCain did a great job, but Obama made him look decisive and commanding. He made John McCain look, the next President of the United States.

Please Allow Me to Vent...Obama & Abortion

Abortion is not a topic that I ever thought I would discuss. I am pro-life, but I have always felt that every argument on both sides had probably already been made. It is hard to change people's minds on this subject. Most of us have an opinion and hold on to it.

However.....After listening to Senator Obama last night during the Saddleback Church Forum, I was angry. That doesn't happen alot. Even as passionate as I am about energy, taxes, etc., I have never really been angry. So please allow me this one post and one post only to vent.

Both candidates last night were asked a series of questions, the same questions. Each was asked the following: At what point does a baby get human rights?

John McCain quickly stated, "At conception."

Barack Obama responded, "Whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity, you know, is above my pay grade."

I am angered on so many levels. What exactly does he mean above his pay grade? If you are unable to answer this question, regardless of your stance, you do not deserve to be President. Here is my vent.

Why do so many people put their first sonogram picture on their refrigerators? The baby is only usually 8 weeks old. Ask someone who miscarries at 6 or 8 weeks, whether they lost a baby or not? Ask a woman who sits in a NICU praying for a baby who was born 26, 28, 32 weeks, whether it's a baby or not. Ask those mothers who try desperately to have a baby for years what they would do to be pregnant?

Barack Obama voted against the Born -Alive Infant Protection Act which would give rights to a baby that was born alive after surviving an abortion. They allow the baby to die without any medical attention. It's disgusting. I don't care it you are pro-choice, this should repulse you.

In a visit to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Senator Obama had this to say about babies.

"I’ve got two daughters; 9 years old and 6 years old,” Obama said. “I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with baby."

I'm sorry, but babies are anything, but a punishment regardless of how they were conceived or brought into this world. He continues to amaze me in his level of ignorance.

I believe in a woman's right to choose. I believe women have the right to choose whether to have sex or not. I believe women have the right to decide who to have sex with. I believe women have a right to choose their birth control. I believe that women have a right to keep their baby or give it up for adoption. We have many choices in life. You have many choices before and after conception without considering abortion as a choice.

Regardless of your party, or even your stance on abortion, we should be suspicious of a man who has such little respect for human life. At the very least, he should be man enough to state his position.

Bad Things Happen to Obama While On Vacation

Poor Barack Obama. He tries to take a week's vacation and all hell breaks loose with his campaign. Let's review just a few of the bad things that happened to his campaign while on vacation.

  1. Russia invades Georgia: Obama first makes a pitiful, standard statement about the incident before making two additional statements. All while running on the beaches in Hawaii. Meanwhile, Senator McCain is out front and center on the issue and making Presidential-like statements on a daily basis. Senator McCain has traveled to Georgia and already met with Georgia's President in the past. Senator McCain has also stated in the past his distrust for Putin and speaks from his experience. How many of Obama's 300 foreign policy advisers did it take to come up with his statements?

  2. Breaking News: Obama's campaign is requiring those wanting tickets to his acceptance speech to volunteer in order to receive their tickets. Oh, but volunteering doesn't guarantee you a ticket. Staff were sent out for damage control immediately, but even some Democrats were angered.

  3. Nancy Pelosi opens her mouth: Every time Nancy Pelosi opened her mouth while Barack Obama was on vacation, she hurts him a little more. First, she wanted to save the planet. Then she softened, yah right, her position on drilling. Finally, you can add blackmail to the list. She actually threatened Senator Leiberman that she would take away his committee seats if he doesn't back off of Obama. Too bad he is in the Senate and not in the House where Pelosi rules.

  4. Kwame Kilpatrick wants to come to the convention: The disgraced Detroit Mayor who is a superdelegate and supporter of Obama wants to attend the convention. I'm sure that the people in Michigan would love to be reminded of Kilpatrick's support for Obama. The press would love to get a picture of Kilpatrick's ankle bracelet while attending the convention. He's currently only ahead by 3 points in this blue state that could turn red this year.

  5. Jerome Corsi's anti-Obama book hits number one on NY Times Best Seller List: The swift-boat author writes a seething tell-all book about Obama. The book, Obama Nation, immediately climbs to number one. Senator Obama sends out John Kerry to defame Corsi. want John Kerry, a Presidential loser, to defend you?

  6. And finally...........drum roll please....Hillary Clinton takes over the Democratic Convention. I don't care how many times you try to convince me that Senator Obama believe this will unify the party, THIS IS BAD. The Clintons will now have three days of the convention centered around them. It is not a good thing, no matter how much the Obama camp tells you it is.

Senator Obama only has one more day of vacation. I wonder what else could possibly go wrong. I'll update tomorrow, Friday, if there is any other BIG news!!!

Friday's Update: Did I mention that while Obama was on vacation, he tanked in the polls? Kwame now also has to stand trial for assault? Howard Dean called the Republican party the "white" party? The Republicans have a picture of him swimming in Hawaii reminiscent of Kerry's 2004 sailboat picture?

And we still have the Democratic Convention to couldn't get better than this.........or could it?

Barack Obama & Nancy Pelosi Are One In The Same

Democrats just can't make up their mind where they stand on the issue of drilling. Are they for it? Are they against it?  Are they for it because they know they can block it?  Why not just allow a vote already?

First it came out last week that Nancy Pelosi told House Democrats that they could abandon party lines and come out for drilling.  She told them that it was OK if they needed to say they were for it in order to win their seats.  That woman must have some real power because Democrats were jumping out of line right and left.

Barack Obama leaving for vacation stated that he was now open to drilling if it was part of a larger compromised bill.  Even my own representative, Jason Altimire, was released from his puppet strings and immediately changed his position on drilling.

Last night on Larry King, Nancy Pelosi herself stated that she would be open to drilling if it was included in a comprehensive energy package.  Has hell frozen over? Not quite.  Read between the lines.

Nothing has changed.  Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and even Jason Altmire still don't want to help everyday Americans during the energy crisis.  In their compromise, they conveniently have thrown in the "Windfall Tax" on those big, scary oil companies.

By including this tax on oil companies, they are pretty much ensuring that Republicans will vote against the bill.  If Republicans, god help us, do compromise and vote for the bill, the included tax will ensure that oil companies don't jump into any additional oil drilling and will in fact most likely cut back on production.

So again, Americans lose.  Nancy Pelosi will continue on her book tour, Barack Obama will run on the beaches of Hawaii and we will continue to pay Russia, Venezuela, and our enemies for oil.

Has your representative changed positions in the last two weeks?  If you don't's time to get smart.

America IS Olympic Gold!

Even if we never won a single medal at the Olympic games this year in Beijing, America would still be Olympic Gold.

I wasn't as excited this year to watch the Olympics as I have been in years past. However, having been sidelined this week by surgery, I am stuck on the couch with nothing else to do. My husband and I watched the Opening Ceremonies. It really is inspiring to see the best athletes we have to offer being cheered on by those around the world. After watching a few of today's competitions, something started to sink in.

Of the 632 athletes the US has competing, 35 of them are foreign-born athletes. Our entire table tennis team was born in China. I found that tidbit kind of funny. The flag carrier for the team, Lopez Lamong, was one of the Lost Boys born in Sudan. There is so much diversity on the American team, as opposed to say China's Olympic team. It is amazing to me how many people want to represent our country.

How many athletes this year representing other countries actually live and train in the US? Why do so many people chose to migrate to America? Why do so many Cubans risk their lives on a daily basis to try to reach America? How many South Americans sneak across our borders for a better life? So what does all of this have to do with my political blog?

A 7 year old girl asked Obama this week why he wanted to run for President of the United States. His answer:
"America is...,uh, is no longer, uh.. what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don't want that future for my children."
At what point in our history did it become politically advantageous to put down our country? This was, is, and always will be a great country. He may not want to explain that to his children, but my children will always hear what the United States stands for and how proud we should be of it. My children will know what opportunities lie before them and that the only thing that holds them back from their dreams is their own desire, drive, and determination.

As we watch the best the US has to offer the world in the arena of sports the next week or so, keep this in mind.......our athletes have trained for years to get where they are....they are what the US represents to the world....opportunity.

However, Senator Obama, you would not be qualified enough to make our team, let alone lead it.

Finally McCain Plays HardBall!!

Senator may have taken you longer than we would have liked, but welcome to the game.

It seemed for months that John McCain might suffer the same circumstances that Hilary Clinton faced in the primaries.  He was losing the battle of airtime, being accused of being racist, and left in the dust by a man who could raise more money than well, God.  But finally, could it be......a small crack in the magnificent one's armor.

With the addition of Steve Schmidt to the campaign, it appears that the tides could be turning.  It seems as though Senator McCain is finally showing some fight in him. Of course, we all know that this is not the route that Senator McCain would have chosen.  He would have preferred to lead a respectable and well-mannered campaign.

He tried to take the high road and stick to the issues and the differences the two men had on them.  He invited Senator Obama to twelve town-hall meetings, but was denied.  He tried to go out and compliment Senator Obama and at times even defended his opponent for one thing or another.  But what did that get him? Nothing.  Senator Obama had three news anchors on his latest trip and Senator McCain had one news reporter meet his plane in New Hampshire.  You might not have even known he was running according to the media-bias in this country.

That was then.  Now comes his two most recent ads, "Celeb" and "The One". Yes, you could probably describe them as silly.  Personally, I think they are hysterical. But the point is, the conversation has changed.  Senator McCain is actually getting some press time.  People are actually discussing his candidacy. It might not be the most conventional way that he would have wanted to get his message out there, but it is working.

In all likelihood, the best person to defeat Senator Obama, may just be Senator Obama.  We may not know if it is the ads that have dropped Senator Obama's poll numbers or just great timing, but the fact is that they are lower and dropping every day.  The game is far from over, but at least it's in the same ball park, maybe even closing in on the same field.

"The One"
